Ah, yeah similar experience to what I've had working with ebony, it's a difficult wood to work entirely clearly. I've used it for mouth inserts but even then tiny chips can form with ease and make the work look like hell.

I don't mind the bubinga so much, but overall it's a bit too heavy. I've gone the same direction in that I very much like light finish planes that give a good feedback.

Thanks! I hope so as well, but I have some serious competition, I know a couple of the guys went to Kez-USA last year and turned out 3.5 micron shavings!
