I don't use wax. Paranoid it will affect finish. So I must be sharpening often enough. That said, a drawer blade doesn't offer much resistance no matter the dullness. About the only full width shaving I ever encounter is when fitting a drawer. I sharpen when I can't easily pick up a shaving or on the rare occasion that I am worried about tear-out. I think I am going to declare good enough for now and move on to some other task to master, or master better.
