Brian Roberts
your flattening process?

Do you use a glass plate?
What silicon carbide grits do you use...and where do you get it?
Water for lube during flattening?

I have a large cast plate that I ground to within .0003 of flat in all directions that I made to use for flattening stones....and whatever else will fit it's 6" x 21.5" size (actually made two of them at work...one for them and one for me.....really great having access to the Okamoto 12 x 24 grinder!).

Our plan was to use diamond grit with the cast plates ....but haven't gotten to the point of getting any abrasive.

Thanks so much for any info you can pass on!
