Welcome! On the rebate plane, I suspect the '10' stamped into the bedding was used during manufacture to match the bed to the original wedge. Likely the original wedge also had a '10' on it. A way to keep the parts matched during the making. A Norris expert could confirm this or rule it out.

I'll check tonight whether that panel plane shoe looks like any in the E. P. Preston 1909 catalog. Preston sold shoes as well as whole planes. Just on the off chance.....
