The infill plane doesn't look like Mathieson, Norris or Spiers.

Those planes had marked lever caps with more refinement on the cap and screw. I would suspect that plane was made from a mail order lever cap (you could buy that stuff in hardware store catalogs in the UK).

Mathieson, Norris and Spiers planes of Rosewood age generally had nice filed chamfers on the steel parts of the planes, and the cap iron and screws were very refined looking (and perhaps all or nearly all were stamped with a name).
