Making a card scraper? ()

Clifton C
Joe,
I had the need for some small scrapers, but didn't want to cut up my "broken in" scrapers. I bought a Bahco scraper from Lee Valley. The specs say Rc48-52, Not sure exactly what that means but I had no problem cutting it with a hacksaw. I covered the scraper with masking tape, drew out the profiles and cut close. Then "lapped" off the ragged hacksaw burr with some 320 to make it easier to slide on the grinder platform. A light touch on the grinder to fair in the curves then lapped on some 600 grit resulted in some nice little scrapers.
