Subject:
purchasing calculation problem

Jerry Gibbs
I have several times calculated the optimum lengths of hardwood needed for a project. Then have to drive 35-70 miles to purchase. At the dealer, they will not have the lengths I want, so I have to do a fast re-calculation, which is not my forte. I don't know if there is an answer. I don't mind buying long lengths of fir, for example, since the cutting will be more efficient. This doesn't work with most hardwoods. Do I just buy lots, put in on the credit card and have left overs?
