Subject:
Lee Valley cover plane question

Bill Tindall, E.Tn.
The Spring micro-catalog has planes on its cover. I have never seen anything like them. I am flummoxed about what to ask......what do they do? why are they different? How are they used? There is a violin in the background. Are they for planing violins and if so what about planing a violin is different from planing anything else that these most different planes are advantageous?

Maybe if you have to ask you don't need to know. :(

And yes I fell victim to yet another free shipping offer. Ever since I saw the brad point drills being ground at the Veritas factory I have lusted for a set. Damn those free shipping lures.
