CJ in MPLS
Since I have about six unfinished projects underway I thought I'd start another one yesterday. A few weeks ago I attended a class in hand cutting joints at Mike Siemsen's schools just north of Minneapolis and he had a miterbox (hand) set up for cutting wood for sample joints. Recalling that I also had one of those in my attic, as well as a saw purchased for use therewith, I dug the two of them out and spent the afternoon cleaning them up a bit.
The saw, Simonds with I think very little actual use, was a bit gunky and needed sharpening. It cuts better now, but will only cut as it should once I become a bit better at sharpening. I will also need to adjust the settings on the box itself as it is a tiny bit out of square. That will wait a bit however.
