Hammer in hand now on line. *LINK*

I got this from Joshua Klein's blog, The workbench diary. Very happy to read this book online. I have often seen this book mentioned, but never been able to read it.

Of course I had a quick look at the planes. Lots of single iron ones even a 60 degree smoother. There are a nice strikeblock and a tryplane with a double iron, the former from 1793. The jointer is very long at 33 1/2". The writer is surprised at that length, because the English literature suggest a maximum length of 30" (75 cm). But it is not difficult to find jointer planes of 90 cm (36") overhere in Holland. That would be more a carpenters tool I'd guess.

I'm going to study more.
