55 degrees isn't for heavy cuts, so you should get a win there. The adjustment is only 21 % more fine, which does not seem to be all that night and day. The higher angle also reduces the quality of cut per grit by 21% on the 55. Or you can adjust the bevel angle to deal with that, in part.
