Hi Blaz,

I can't answer the question on authenticity. However, the blade finish in the photos looks convincing enough to me (burnished), that I wouldn't let these saws go for that price. If it's handmade at all, and somebody bothered to make a calligraphy box for it, it's worth having at that price.

If you can, look for a burnished finish that under 2X magnification or so, looks like pebbles on a clear creek bottom under running water. If you see that, buy it.
