Subject:
Printer Ink Solvent ?

Yonak
I got one of those cheap printer ink refills and, while installing it, it leaked all over my hands. I've tried everything in my shop to get it off and nothing really worked. I tried acetone, xylene, mineral spirits, naphtha, lacquer thinner and alcohol. The alcohol worked the best but not very well. Has anyone got any other suggestions ?

My wife is now mixing up a cocktail of vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice and toothpaste, a recipe she found on YouTube ?

Well, the witch's brew worked as well as anything (that characterization is not to be taken as an editorial comment on my wife). I guess the best remedy is to wear rubber gloves next time.

I am now going to put some Bag Balm on my hands after subjecting them to all those chemicals.
