Back of Chest of drawers questions

Barry Irby
I have made a chest of drawers out of white oak.

My original intention was to use 1/4 baltic Birch plywood for the back. (I have a 4 x 8' sheet of 1/4" plywood I could use.)

So, should I just screw it on or glue it and screw it? Part of me says it should be removable in case of future repairs. Part of me thinks it should be glued on to give more strength. Which way to go?

Also, the back could be 3/8" thick. Stronger/more rigid and heavier. Heavier might be good to reduce the chance of tipping. What do you think?
