***SURVEY: THE IDES OF MARCH***

Ellis Walentine
Hi folks,

It's time again to check the pulse of this esteemed group on a topic of interest to woodworkers. We'll distill your insights into our next bi-monthly "News & Views" column -- our 123rd! -- in Woodworker West magazine.

Since the latest coronavirus is the dominant topic on people's minds these days, I thought we'd try to find a woodworking slant on this malady. In the event we may be "sheltering in place" in coming days, whether voluntarily or by edict, how will this affect your woodworking habits or plans? How can we make the best of the situation? Are there any humanitarian or socially conscious outlets for our woodworking efforts? Are there things we can do online that would be worthwhile?

I'm thinking there is a valuable conversation lurking here. Please feel free to help steer it in a good direction.
