Subject:
lighting the router with LED *PIC*

Bill Tindall, E.Tn.
Family visited for a weekend of woodworking . More on accomplishments later. Son-in-law brought a LED collection. A 12V unit was installed inside the router. It is the white thing with 2 LED's. Power cord is cable tied to power cord for router and ends in a small 12 V DC transformer/rectifier salvaged from a battery charger for something long forgotten. Oh, does it work well! A game changer for detailed free-hand routing. Provides bright illumination right at the bit/wood interface and one doesn't know it is there. I could see in such detail that when wasting out half blind waste I could free-hand route to kiss scribe lines and saw kerfs.
