Drying Red Oak

Barry Irby
I have some huge red oak slabs (3' by 9' by 2.5" average, about 36 of them) that have been sitting in a shed, stacked and stickered for 6 months.

Is red oak hard to dry? What's the next step? How long do I wait? Does this require a highly experienced kiln operator? How about a vacuum radio frequency kiln?
