Helped another friend convert his table saw to 220v this weekend, and he's tickled with the outcome.
Those of you who's saws can be converted to 220v, and you have access to it in your shop, I highly recommend it. Your saw will be a lot more snappier and less apt to struggle. Did mine about 15 years ago and never looked back. This weekend marks the 10th friend who's saw we converted, and all have been pleased with the outcome & performance!
One recommendation when you do convert it to 220, create a new cord so the saw can be moved to any location that you anticipate it being moved and NOT have to use an extension cord. Also figure out what size cord you will need, then jump up one size.
