Subject:
Plywood shelves

Joe in a Cleveland suburb
On this bookcase I am making the 3/4" maple plywood shelves are getting 3/4 x ~2" wide cherry edging to hide the raw show side of the plywood shelf. They are about 2" wide because they are supposed to be profiled edges. I may not profile them though.

The shelves are about 40" long.

Should I just glue them on with regular yellow glue, or should I use biscuits or something?

I'm kinda thinking to use biscuits because if heavy stuff is put on a shelf them it might bow down slightly and stress the glue. Maybe? I don't know.

Thanks.
