Subject:
Anyone have a flush trim bit they like?

Barry Irby
I am sneaking up on making some chairs for my Son and DIL. Oak, probably ladder back dining chairs.

I'm thinking a good pattern bit will be useful. Perhaps fairly large in diameter with a 1/2" shank and spiral or compression cutters. Maybe bearings top and bottom. 2" or more cutting height.

I bought some in the past and the bearings were half inch and so was the cutting diameter. The bearings died quickly and the straight cutters were prone to tearout. I am hoping to find one with excellent bearings and cutters that will cut cleanly and last more than a few feet or minutes.

Any suggestions?
