Morning find. What is? *PIC*

Gary Smyth
What is it? No markings, 22" long, 3.4 pounds, bowl 6" diameter, appears to be cast in one piece except for handle base which is soldered. Brass approximately 1/8" to 3/16" thick and while in need of polishing, is well shaped and finished throughout--even bottom.

Found with numerous early American items of "moderate" value.

Suggested use from sale patrons --some sort of stirrer/spoon, bed warmer, rice or fat skimmer scoop. religious offering collector.
