1/2" hardwood plywood was veneered with cherry
lots of edges to plane level with substrate
Up to my ankles in shavings from the edges and face banding trimming. There have been discussions on the hand tool forum on the importance of surface quality. A whole lot of planing occurs during building something that never needs to be a lustrous finish. Some good work over there is going to answer the question of whether more durable plane blades are worth the price and effort to sharpen them.
Best place to store parts in progress can be where they go. Granddaughters will be visiting for 2 weeks. I am saving jobs for them like sanding and staining.
I am considering turning knobs from cherry and carving the pattern in them that is on the drawer flanks.
