Subject:
Table Halved

Kneale Brownson
Just over a month ago I asked for suggestions on ways to get a bulky table into our new basement (http://www.woodcentral.com/woodworking/forum/messages.pl/page/9/md/read/id/525842/sbj/cut-paste/)

Cut the top in half today, turned it upside down on saw horses, inserted a piece of 2X4 between the side aprons on each side of the cut and completed the halving with cuts through the aprons. Now it's sitting on saw horses at the cut ends. I need to dress the cuts up some, clamp it together and provide holes for bolts to hold it together in the basement.

Do you think I'll need a removable fifth or sixth leg in the middle? It's used for laying out and cutting fabrics. It's about 4X7 feet.
