Subject:
Big Slabs in an old sawmill building.

Barry Irby
This might be a drive by gloat....or evidence I have lost my mind...

A local tree guy gave me 3 Pin Oak logs, 6' in diameter down to 4', one 10' long, one 9' and one 8'. I had them cut into slabs with a Lucas mill. I now have 40 slabs. I put them in an open building that used to house a sawmill. They are stickered so they can dry. I looked up and there were about ten or fifteen holes through the roof. The explanation was the teeth off the sawmill blade used to fly through the roof. I am really glad I was not there for that. Wonder if I will live long enough to dry these beasts?
