 
A WOODWORKER'S SEND-OFF Dan Donaldson's sons fulfill their dad's last wishes. SHOP OWNER: Mike Donaldson LOCATION: Battleground, WA Our father always said he just wanted to be buried in a plain pine box, so when he lost his battle with cancer, my brother "D.T." (Daniel Thomas, named after Dad) and I did our best to fulfill dad's wishes. Neither of us is half the craftsman that Dad was, but together we did our best to make him proud. We certainly tried. Here are some shots of the construction process. My sister and sister-in-law made the pad and pillow for the inside of the casket, as well as the cloth for the bottom half. The cloth has the hand prints of all the grandkids, and all the children wrote our good-byes on it. Words can't express how much we miss him. . . .
