I tested an AI robot lawn mower that doesn’t need a boundary wire β€” just a camera and onboard mapping. So… does it actually work?

In this video, I unbox and test the Yardcare M800Plus robot mower in a real yard here in Virginia. It uses a 135Β° wide-angle camera and AI recognition to detect lawn edges, avoid obstacles, and map its working area β€” no perimeter wire required.

I go over setup, charging dock placement, mowing patterns (row + random), obstacle handling, and how it performs in both open and tricky areas. It cuts well and handles slopes and objects surprisingly well β€” but there are a few limitations you should know about, especially when it comes to unclear lawn boundaries.

After noticing the workshop sitting at around 55% relative humidity, we started looking into what that actually means for tools, wood, machinery, and stored materials. Turns out, humidity can quietly cause a lot of damage over time β€” rust, swelling, mold, warped wood, and ruined projects.

In this video, we test the AlorAir Helios MP55 dehumidifier in a real workshop environment over several days. We log humidity and temperature data every 5 minutes using an ESP32 setup, track how quickly the humidity drops, and take the machine apart to look at the internal construction and build quality.
