In Response To Should I wear a turner's smock? (Joe shelton)

I'm partial to single-weight windbreaker-type jackets made of nylon or other synthetic, light weight, very flexible, and often plentifully available at Goodwill and similar resale stores. They are often promotional windbreakers from NASCAR events, beverage companies, etc, and typically less than $5. Shavings slide right off.
