....neck fasteners keep the chips from going down the neck into the underwear! I have winter smocks with long sleeves, and summer smocks with short sleeves. The face shield also reduces shavings sneaking in at the neck area, as well as saving face in case of a RAPID professional dismount of a spinning chunk of wood! :D
