Craig Daymon
My best friend passed away some years ago. He was a found object sculptor. When he passed, they did an art show in his house as a memorial. Lots of impressive art was made to remember him. His sister has kept the piece I made for the show.
I don't consider myself an artist, but I made an effort and created this piece. His sister recently bought some flowers and posted a picture of them. They frame the piece very well. Sadly, the porcupine quills (something he used often in his work) used for eye lashes were broke in a move, and removed. Combination of basswood, masur birch, padauk and ebony. A black tear hangs from a chain from the red (padauk) dot in the corner (whatever that is called, name escapes me).
