I am never one to pass up a bargain and I had a brainstorm about building some bee houses for native pollinators and that called for bamboo. I got permission from a neighbor a couple of hundred yards up the road to cut some from her out-of-control patch and dragged four long canes home. Then I realized I didn't know what to do with it. The shortest one, cut off where it got down to pencil-diameter was about 33 feet long and the longest a couple longer than that. I cut off the bottom 16 feet of each for ease of handling and stripped off the green leafy twigs but now I don't really know how to dry it. Do you think it would do to bring it into my garage and rack it on the ladder hooks on the wall and just let it dry there? Any downsides?
