Update on garage door install

So I decided to do the install myself with the help of a friend who has done it before. I was able to order all the track and hardware through a wholesale place in Cleveland. Just waitingbon the springs which are due in this week. Total savings $2000.
I do have a question about remounting the opener on the door. I will be adding a strut to the top of each door. This will require mounting the opener arm maybe 2" lower.
Thoughts?
