"Comb useless for fast drying lacquer, conversion varnish and the like." Comb useless for estimating dry film thickness because the % solids at time of measurement is unknown. However, I encourage novice sprayers to buy one then report back after spraying a few projects and tell us how it was helpful. Personally if I was curious about dry film thickness I would spray a test piece, cure and scrape a test area to observe thickness.
