I see that it worked. So I'll try again -- here -- to send the message. I just finished making a mallet handle with all those laminations for the following reason. Years ago I was in Sicily at a Greek temple ruin. The guide explained that some ruins survived all the earthquakes because they were constructed with lead sheets between the stones. So I figured that those laminations must have absorbed some of the earthquake vibration. So why not try it for a mallet handle.
