Cheap stones?

I have enough stones to build a wall in my shop... But I have a couple of beginners who really can't afford sharpening gear, and while there are dozens of effective ways to approach that, I am still wondered whether anyone has tried this offer (which is this specific offer or others like it), who actually knows sharpening. Objective would be to get something serviceable, out Shaptoning Shapton is not the issue. They already are using 3D printed jigs, and sandpaper. But acceptable stones are still worth something.
