Hi -
I have a Lee Valley Tool Rest and Angle-Setting jig and I'm wondering if anyone here on the Hand Tool board has any tips or tricks by those of you who may use these devices. A part of the description on their instructions for these devices says, "You will soon find that this is much easier than it sounds." Well, that's not been my experience. For the life of me I can't see where the wheel is touching the gauge. Even in the picture in their instructions you can't tell where the jig is touching the wheel.
Any advice or recommendations? I'd really like to get to the point where I can repeatedly and reliably reproduce the same angle grind (or very close to it) on a chisel or plane blade.
Thanks!
Dave
