In Response To I'll rise to that bait..... (Bill Tindall)

There was some snark in that. One of the sports of the forums over the years has always been the whole thing of "what's important for me" is "what's important".

Substitute interesting for important. Sensible, rational, pointless, whatever it may be.

There's no real practical end to my toolmaking other than the toolmaking - there doesn't need to be, and there's a mismatch at this point for me talking to people who want to debate about it. Somewhere in the archives on this forum, I said I'd never delve into chisel making. I have good enough chisels that it wouldn't make sense. I don't even recall where that went off the rails other than maybe grinding a file and seeing the spark pattern and being really enamored with it. "I'll just make one or two maybe".
