Hi William (or anyone else who may have thoughts on this) -

I actually purchased the Wolverine Sharpening System quite a while ago, but I couldn't make it work.  It'd been so long that I'd forgotten why I couldn't make it work.  So, I've spent (too much) time today reinstalling the system....and now I remember why?  See the pic below:

I can't get the jig close enough to my grinding wheel.  The protective cover gets in the way (or actually that part of the cover that used to hold the original tool rest).  Yes, I know from this angle it looks like I could remove that portion of the cover that used to hold the original tool rest, but no you can't.  I suppose I could remove the whole protective cover, but that feels unsafe.

By the way...this is an old Craftsman grinder.

Thought?  Recommendations?

Any ideas would be most appreciated.
