I recently decided to update my old photo set-up from 600W Q/H studio lamp to LED, and now much less likely to set my enclosure on fire! The LED fixture is Olefus brand 100W 9000 lumen 6200K daylight color balance from Amazon. While sorting thru my old studio equipment stash I found a gradient background and decided to also put it to use.
I developed the PPS program about 1980 and it has been widely used by others, a welcome aid to capturing and viewing better images of artwork. Digital photography has really revolutionized the image making process, and the net is now a valued resource for many of us. Making and posting good quality images of our work is the visual language by which we communicate.
BTW, I found the Impact Digital Light Shed is still available from BHphotovideo.com for $70. It unfolds to 47"x47"x47" and is the right size for shooting turning sized objects, big enough to place light inside for maximum repeatable control. Well suited for users not interested in constructing an antique PVC pipe enclosure like mine, and eliminating the need for awkward clamp lights or light stands.
Side/top/front panels are regular old foam core boards, LED info is detailed in the first line of my post. Rather than building this enclosure, I suggest that you buy the Impact Digital Light Shed from bhphotovideo.com for $70. It measures 47"x47"x47" unfolded.
