Hi Keith — I’ve been a lifetime Nikon shooter but just recently got my first ever smart phone in the form of an iPhone 7. I mention Nikon only because I’ve consistently had motor drive units in one form or another.
The iPhone has a camera function referred to as “ burst” and frankly this function drives me a little nuts. That’s mainly, I think, because I don’t feel I have any control of the situation. It seems to occur if the release is held down longer than for an individual click. That’s all I can think of for what you describe but I’ve been out of the business for 20 years into my retirement. Grandkid pix anyone?
