Here are two on a white and two on a black background, 0930 in slanted sunlight. I felt I had better luck with the automatic settings, because I don't know what I'm doing in bright daylight without them.
There was some real reflection issue with the darker background.

I have to go mow the lawns and do yard work, then get to turning. Can't take more until the afternoon in opposite light. I'll check back on your comments later today.
