Jerry I reread what you wrote. In reality you probably won't find a stain that is just like what you have. Taking a photo and then take it to the store and buy something as close as you can. You'll probably have to either tint the stain or mix up what is called Glazing which is a tinted finish. These will change the color very slightly. Keep adding it until you get the color to match.
