Or it could be that the camera was just set for a low level of sharpening. I took a bunch of pictures with my D80 that needed to be sharpened until I realized that the D80 need to be set to a higher level of sharpening. I can believe the F/25 because the picture has a decent depth of field but there also could be some loss of resolution due to diffraction at that focal length.

All in all, I think Ellis' additional sharpening helped a lot.
