I'm suspecting that you may have had some vibration or camera movement over your 1 second exposure that you weren't aware of.

I couldn't see how I had any movement but then got the thinking. When I took the shot I had the tripod set up on a throw rug. I was standing on it and trying to block some sunlight at the same time. This could have introduced a bit of movement.

I knew about photo size in bytes but not pixels. That is easy enough to adjust when saving the photo for the web. Thanks for the input.
