You've gotten a lot of good information already. I think the lack of sharpness is the biggest problem, Stuart. What I can't figure out is how it could be so out of focus at f25. An aperture that small should put everything in sharp focus. I'm suspecting that you may have had some vibration or camera movement over your 1 second exposure that you weren't aware of.

Here's a doctored version of your photo. I straightened it, smoothed out the color temperature difference and artificially sharpened it.

One other thing to keep in mind when posting to our forums is that if the image is over 800 pixels wide, the software will scale it to fit the 800-pixel space available. This type of scaling degrades the photo. The upshot is that you should resize your pictures to 800 pixels wide (or less) before uploading them.
