Forgot to mention that the best thing in the world for a tripod is a ball head..

i hate those heads that have 3 handles for 3 axis's ... axi... axe'es? whats the word for more than one axis?

i bought a foba superball when i was really into commercial... yes... it was a $500 PART for a tripod... but it went on my foba camera stand... look one of those puppies up and you get to see the stand i used to roll around the studio...
