I have a couple just lying around on shelves in the shop. I also have fire extinguishers handy. You also need to pay attention to places where a fire might smolder and flare up later. Like my grinders sit on the edge of a bench. I always make certain there are no shavings around where a spark might fall and become a problem. Do you turn green or wet wood. I do and always rake the shavings pile out flat when I leave to prevent spontaneous combustion later Rather be safe than sorry.
