Not having any CNC, I would use the plunge router and top guided bit to clean the center point dimple from the bottom as been suggested.

You could also make a five hole template and rout the complete hole.

Some bits can be pretty shallow. But if the the bit is longer then your coaster hole is deep, just make the template sufficiently thick enough for the hole depth you need.

Doing all this I would still turn the lathe on for part of it .... you are on the turning forum after all :D
