Cancelled the Woodcraft order and placed one with Robust.
Call them this morning about possible repair of the bent rest. Nope. Can't be repaired.

Just got a call to tell me that the charge is being cancelled and the new rest is being sent anyway even though I explained that the whole thing was my damn fault.

Hellava company, the folks at Robust.

Since I won't have a bill to paste, I think I'll mount the bent rest on the wall next to the lathe a) as a safety reminder, and b) to make sure of where to buy a lathe if I ever need another one.
