Glad you were not hurt....

Years ago I turned on my lathe and the piece flew off and hit me right between the eyes on my forehead. My glasses flew away and shed a lens. Bled like a waterfall. Was home alone, Sunday night, called a neighbor who took me to the Emergency Room. He knew the ropes and got me in and out, an hour later and 55 stitches I was back home. $2600

I thought I was out of the line of fire, but it deflected off the tool rest. My Bad, I was tired and just going to mount this and be sure it ran and quit for the day. Don't work when you are tired.
