The warmest I have experienced was at the Phoenix airport one day years ago when the temperature rose to 122. That effectively shut down the airport for over five hours because most jet engines are warranty-limited and cannot be started above 120. All departing flights were delayed because they could not start their engines. Some inbound flights were smart and diverted to other airports, but those that arrived were stuck parked out on the tarmac for hours because there were no gates available for them to go to.
